The fight on the behalf of Colin Kaepernick continues. Chuck D has asked for a boycott of the NFL.

After what seems to be a pretty clear case of blackballing on the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Mista Chuck has also stepped up. During a recent impromptu interview with TMZ Sports, The Public Enemy front man voiced his opinion on the matter.

“I think every protest should be looked at as being warranted with some kind of consciousness. But if you want to protest, look around. Don’t go to the sports bars. Don’t turn the game on. Leave your team for a year. Do your best to connect it to something that is real” he said.

This all comes on the heels of a recently debunked report that accused Colin of turning down an NFL contract. Since taking kneel down during the singing of the national anthem in the name of injustice against African Americans, Kaep has faced intense media scrutiny and has been left unemployed even though he took his former team to the Superbowl in the 2012-2013 season.

Other celebrities have voiced their support including filmmaker Spike Lee who is organizing a rally for the seven year football veteran on August 23 in New York City.

Let’s hope Chuck’s words do not fall on deaf ears.
